В современных исследованиях показано, что предъявление запаха самок перед заражением самцов вирусом гриппа активирует неспецифическую иммунную реакцию, тем самым защищая самцов мышей от заражения верхних дыхательных путей и снижая их смертность. Однако существует ли подобный адаптивный эффект воздействия женского полового феромона на мужчин, изучено не было. В связи с этим целью данной работы явилось изучение влияния запаха синтетического аналога натурального женского феромона – осмоферина – на функциональное состояние молодых мужчин, часто болеющих острыми респираторными (ОРЗ) и аллергическими заболеваниями.</p></sec><sec><title>Методология</title><p>Методология. Было проведено исследование воздействия осмоферина в течение четырёх недель на психоэмоциональное состояние, концентрацию гормонов (тестостерона, кортизола) и иммуноглобулинов (sIgA, общий IgG), процентное соотношение лейкоцитов в крови и индивидуальный запах юношей, более 4 раз в год болеющих ОРЗ или имеющих аллергическое заболевание. В исследовании приняли участие 117 юношей в возрасте 19–23 лет. Ольфакторное тестирование индивидуальных запаховых образцов юношей проводилось девушками (n = 32) в возрасте 18–22 лет.</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. Было установлено, что женский феромон оказывает положительное влияние на функциональное состояние мужчин с различным состоянием иммунитета. Однако действие его обусловлено патогенезом заболевания. Применение осмоферина у мужчин со сниженным иммунитетом приводит к повышению активности, улучшению настроения, снижению тревожности, стабилизации уровня тестостерона. У мужчин с аллергическими заболеваниями такого эффекта не обнаружено. Но выявлено статистически значимое снижение содержания эозинофилов в 2 раза, что косвенно указывает на снижение активности отсроченной фазы аллергических реакций немедленного типа.</p></sec><sec><title>Заключение</title><p>Заключение. Иммунная система функционирует по своим внутренним закономерностям и программам. Однако её деятельность в интересах целого организма интегрируется и регулируется нервной и эндокринной системами. Следовательно, модулирующее влияние на функцию иммунной системы можно оказывать опосредованно через предъявление феромонов.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Introduction</title><p>Introduction. Modern studies show that the presentation of smell of female mice before male mice infection with the influenza virus activates non-specific immune response which protects male mice from infection of the upper respiratory tract and reducing their mortality. However the researches have not studied the adaptive effect of female sexual pheromone on men.</p><p>The aim of this work was to study the effect of odor of synthetic analogue of natural female pheromone (Osmopherine) on the functional state of young men often suffering from acute respiratory infections (ARI) and allergic diseases.</p></sec><sec><title>Materials and methods</title><p>Materials and methods. We studied four-week effect of Osmopherine on the psycho-emotional state, the concentration of hormones (testosterone, cortisol) and immunoglobulins (sIgA, total IgG), the percentage of leukocytes in the blood and the individual smell of young men, who have ARI more than 4 times a year or an allergic disease. The study involved 117 boys aged 19–23 years. Olfactory testing of individual odor samples of young men was carried out by young women (n = 32) aged 18–22 years.</p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results. It was found that female pheromone has a positive effect on the functional state of men with different immune systems. However its effect is caused by the pathogenesis of the disease. Application of Osmopherine in men with reduced immunity causes an increased activity, improved mood, reduced anxiety and stabilized testosterone level. Men with allergic diseases did not have the same effect. A significant 2 times decrease in the content of eosinophils was found, which indirectly indicates the decrease in the activity of the delayed phase of allergic reactions of immediate type.</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion. The immune system functions according to its internal laws and programs. However its activity for the benefit of the whole body is integrated and regulated by the nervous and endocrine systems.
